Challenge: Create a card that sparkles (use glitter, stickles, whatever... just make sure it sparkles... if you put Edward on your card without a shirt in the sunlight, I'll let you slide! :) )

So, remember this movie? I recently saw it on the big screen at Girlie Night at the Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin with some of my best movie buddies... Remember how at the end Watts gets the diamond stud earrings... yeah, that's where this challenge comes from. Ah, such a cute movie... I digress...

A Muse PJ Party - Pirates of the Carribean!

Welcome to another installment of the A Muse PJ Parties! Tonight's theme is MOVIE NIGHT (my fav! ;)).

So, what is this all about, you ask? Well click on over to the lounge to find out ... Basically, every 30 minutes (4 times), my co-hosts and I will post a new challenge over on the lounge. You have 30 minutes to create a card for that challenge! You have until tomorrow (Sat.) night to post it whereever you want like on your blog or on SCS but the challenge is "CREATING" the card in 30 minutes! THINK SIMPLE, THINK A MUSE. Use at least 1 A Muse image on your card, too, please! That's it.

A Muse PJ Party - Challenge #4

and here we are... the fastest 2 hours of my life. I wonder if that's a good thing that time goes by so fast. Seems scary that time can seem to fly by so fast.

Anyhoo.... I'm the hostess for this challenge!

My challenge.... to make a card for a mom you know! Mother's Day is coming up and we all know someone that is a mother... make a card and send it to her! If you don't know one, send it to me! HA HA! :)

I used a whole bunch of rock-n-roll all over this card. Again, I flipped the card using the inside of a Popsicle pink note card. The colors I used here are so not my colors but every time I use them I think of my dear friend, Jenn. These are her colors. Right Jenn?

Well there you go!

A Muse PJ Party - Challenge #3

Challenge #3 is hosted by the wonderfully talented and fun, Jenn Shurkus.

Her challenge is to create a card inspired by your favorite flower. I'm not a flower girl. I mean I *love* to get flowers but I'm not the one that knows what flower is what. I *do* however have a favorite... Stargazer Lily is my fav. Well, and I'd never turn down a rose. Who am I kidding... I wouldn't turn down any flowers :) Anyway, I did use the A Muse Lily image and tried to make it into a stargazer lily that hasn't opened  yet.

I've been trying to change my style ALL YEAR to something cleaner. I know, you've heard me say that already more than once this year. And I think I got closer on this card. What do you think?

 

The card is an A Muse blush notecard but reversed with the white on the outside. I used my Koh-i-nor pencils to color.

CHALLENGE 4 is coming up... and that is mine :)

A Muse PJ Party - Challenge #2

And onto challenge #2... Meghan's challenge! YAY!

Meghan's challenge is to use repetition on your card - repeat the same stamped image, or the same embellishment, or the same color... etc. (at least three times)

I stared for a long while at many different stamps. Flowers kept jumping out at me but I ignored them. So, this card is what I came up with and I dedicate it to Jennie, my fellow coffee lover. I can hear music "AAAAHHHH" (think high pitched and heavenly) being sung when I look at this card. Sad, I know. :)

There are many imitation coffees out there and they just don't compare!

Seems like I've made a similar card with this stamp before. Maybe. Anyway, I like the color combo. Stands out.
